Battle it out like a Gym Leader!
Put together a deck containing only a single type of Pokémon and prove you're the master of your chosen type!
Gym Leader Challenge decks include a single type of Pokémon without rule boxes (e.g. exs, radiants, etc.) from as far back as Black and White Base, with only single copies of each card sharing a name (excluding basic energy).
Deckbuilding restrictions includes:
- 60 card deck.
- Black and White Base onwards.
- Non rule box Pokémon of a single type (dual types may be included in a deck of either type).
- Single copy of any card that isn't a basic energy.
- No Ace Spec cards.
When: Tuesday 28th July, 6:30pm
Format: Gym Leader Challenge, 40min Best of 1, 3 rounds
Tickets: $15
Prizing:
Two boosters plus a Pokemon Play Prize Pack per player.
Mid-year celebration TCG Playmats distributed as door prizes (one per age division), as well as additional prizes for the top player of each type!
Important Details:
This is an official Play! Pokemon league event, and players will require a Pokemon Trainer Club Account to participate (we are more than happy to help you set one up if you haven't before).
Gym Leader Challenge format includes heavy restrictions on deck building and a ban list. More information can be found in the links below.
Proxies will not be allowed for this event, and Tropical Beach is not allowed to be included in decks.
As per TPCI standards, Pitch Black will not be legal for this event.
