https://tourplay.net/en/blood-bowl/blood-bowl-in-the-chirnside-park
Ruleset: The Blood Bowl 2025 Edition default tournament pack will be used (see the core rulebook Matched Play section | written out in full below), as well as the NAF Recommendations & Clarifications, with one thematic additional rule, and a couple of adjustments to roster creation:
- The General: Each team may select a player as Team Captain, even if the team normally does not have access to one - this player is instead The General. The General may successfully refund a team reroll on a 5+ instead of a 6+, however once this is successful they may not use this ability again until their next match (represent this in their name on Tourplay).
Teams will have a starting treasury of 1 150 000 GP.
Star players may only be selected after a starting roster of 11 players has been chosen for the team.
Prayers to Nuffle may not be taken.
Slann are allowed, and placed in Tier 3.
This event has been submitted for NAF sanctioning.
On indicating prone/stunned players; if both players agree prior to a game to use markers instead of laying models down, then they're welcome to, however the default expectation is that players should be placed prone on the pitch to indicate status, as per usual for Blood Bowl (big guys/models which don't lay flat may of course need tokens to replace them, or assist with indicating stunned/prone status).
On round times; rounds are set to be two hours long, to ensure the day runs smoothly and ends on time - at the end of time coaches will complete any current activations and enter results as they stand. Please ensure you're playing within these times out of respect for your opponents and the store staff - this would be a great chance to practice chess clock timings and get used to faster rounds ahead of some of the more competitive Blood Bowl events later in the year.
Prizing: Product/store credit prizing will be awarded from entry taken, split evenly between 3-0 players, Best Painted, and Favourite Opponent awards.
Blood Bowl 2025 Matched Play:
As per the core rulebook, teams are tiered according to the Blood Bowl Designers' Commentary (available here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/blood-bowl/ ), and will be given a number of skill points with which to purchase skills, stats, and star players, according to their tier:
Tier 1: 6 Skill Points
Tier 2: 8 Skill Points
Tier 3: 9 Skill Points
Tier 4: 10 Skill Points
Primary Skills will cost 1 Skill Point, with no limits on the number a team can purchase.
Secondary Skills cost 2 Skill Points, however each tier is limited on the maximum number they can purchase:
Tier 1: 1 Secondary Skill
Tier 2: 2 Secondary Skills
Tier 3: 3 Secondary Skills
Tier 4: 4 Seconday Skills
No player may be given more than one additional skill, and no more than four elite skills (Block, Guard, Dodge, Mighty Blow) may be added to a team roster.
Star Players may be added to teams (provided, as above, the team already has 11 eligible players on their roster), and in addition to their Gold Piece value, also cost 2 Skill Points. Tier 1 teams may only have a single Star Player, all other tiers may take up to two. No team may take any more than a single Mega-star as a part of their team, and they must pay an additional 2 Skill Points (on top of the two for taking the star at all).
