Gooooood Daaaaay SPORTS FANS! It's time to hit the pitch and play the greatest game in the world!
Get a running start into the BRAND NEW 7th edition of the world's greatest sports board game, and play with folk from across Melbourne in our first Inter-store league!
Entry:
$15, OR Purchase a Blood Bowl Team (or 7th Edition Starter Box) prior to the start of the league (all teams purchased during this period include entry).
Times:
Kick-off once Tourplay is updated for the new edition (early December).
Home and Away season consisting of three-week rounds, then a set "finals" day with top eight or four (depending on numbers), with the date and hosting store confirmed closer to the date to suit the largest number of participants.
Ruleset:
Blood Bowl Third Season (7th Edition) rules, with default team building restrictions and tiers. Teams should be painted and based, or at least show progress over time.
Teams will start at 1 000 000 gp, and as it's a new edition, no redrafting fromĀ previous store leagues will be allowed.
Home & Away benefits:
Each team will have a benefit applied based on which store they're playing in, and which store they're local to!
Home Games: If you're playing in the store to which you're a local (e.g. Lil' Jimmy is local to Chirnside Park, and is playing a game at our Chirnside Park Branch), then the local crowd are flocking to see your games! Your team counts as having induced an extra two Cheerleaders for this game!
Away Games: If you're playing in a store to which you're not local (e.g. Lil' Jimmy has travelled down to our Frankston branch to play with his opponent), then the team of coaches has put in some extra effort to help overcome the distance the players are travelling! Your team counts as having induced an extra two Assistant Coaches for this game!
**Note that when the new edition finally drops these specific advantages might be adjusted for balance**
Prizing:
Store credit and product prizing based on entry taken - awards will be more levelled towards achievements and (dubious) honours throughout the season than necessarily podium places being all that matters - we want to see great paintjobs, interesting team builds, wild player advancements, and above all else a host of people enjoying the new edition of Blood Bowl!
Additionally, each store involved will have a set of exclusive tokens for the new edition - when you first play a game in each store, you'll be able to pick up a set! If you play a game in each store across the league, by the end of it you'll have a full set of tokens for the new edition of the game!
Pairings: Team building and pairings will be handled through Tourplay, sign ups will be made available once the new edition rules are integrated.
